« Analyzing global change impacts on biodiversity through the lens of epiphytic bryophytes ».
Le Jury sera composé de :
Mme M. CARNOL (Présidente), MM. Y. AGNAN (UCLouvain), C. ELLIS (Royal botanic garden Edinburgh), D. ERTZ (Jardin botanique de Meise), N. MAGAIN (Secrétaire), A. VANDERPOORTEN (Promoteur).
Epiphytic bryophytes are extremely sensitive to their environment. In the context of global changes, epiphytic bryophytes are used as bioindicator of the impact of air pollution and climate change on biodiversity. In an analysis of epiphytic bryophyte communities over space and time, my thesis shows a significant improvement in air quality despite the threat of ammonia and pesticides. My thesis also analyses climate change from the perspective of microclimates with the aim of identifying climatic microrefugia.
La thèse est intitulée : « Scrambling in near-integrable and chaotic systems ».
La thèse est intitulée : « From biogeography to genes: exploring the diversity and evolution of Antarctic cyanobacteria ».
