Biography

I am an eco-evolutionary biologist, broadly interested in adaptive processes and the food web consequences of anthropogenic disturbances in freshwater and marine ecosystems. My researches encompass multiple domains such as trophic ecology (stable isotope analysis, DNA metabarcoding and morphological identification of gut contents), functional ecology (functional traits, morphology, geometric morphometrics) and food webs (ecological network analysis). I specialized in stable isotope data processing and analysis. In the Laboratory of Ecology and Conservation of Amphibians (LECA), I study the adaptive consequences of facultative paedomorphosis in newts, in particular with respect to their trophic ecology. Through my researches we also aim to understand the impact of non-native fish introductions on the food web and functioning of lentic ecosystems, with a focus on shallow systems such as permanent ponds that are often naturally dominated by newts.
