A doctoral thesis allows you to develop your scientific and transversal skills. It is an optimal way to approach the exciting profession of researcher, during a training in research through research. It is also very often an opportunity to make international contacts and to work in motivated teams that are committed to initiating tomorrow's progress by developing knowledge.

This diploma gives access, in addition to a career as a researcher, to higher education and to positions of responsibility on promising subjects in the public or private sector.

The PhD in Science consists of research training and in-depth and original research in one of the Faculty's leading fields.

During this period, the young scientist is supervised by highly qualified senior staff who advise and guide him/her in his/her project and specific career choices. The title is obtained after the defense of a thesis based on the results of the research.

Doctoral studies are accessible to holders of the academic degree of Master in two years (i.e. after an initial training of at least 300 credits). They correspond to a total of 180 credits and therefore last at least 3 years.
