Wendy Müller, FNRS Research Fellow at the MSLab (MolSys Research Unit / Faculty of Sciences) of the University of Liège is the recipient of one of the Gustave Boël - Sofina fellowships of the King Baudouin Foundation. This fellowship will allow her to carry out a research stay at the University of Montreal in 2022.

endy Müller was granted the prestigious Gustave Boël – Sofina Fellowship 2021 for her research project aiming at developing novel analytical strategies to improve the specificity and sensitivity of SALDI-MSI analyses of small molecules. The fellowship gives Wendy the opportunity to spend six months at the University of Montreal in 2022, working in the Imaging Mass Spectrometry Laboratory led by Prof. Pierre Chaurand.
Wendy joined the MSLab in 2019 as a F.R.S.-FNRS Research Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Gauthier Eppe. Hr research focuses on the imaging of biological samples by Surface-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry (SALDI-MS). She recently published an Open Access review in Mass Spectrometry Reviews on this subject
Thanks to the help of the King Baudouin Foundation, acting on behalf of the S&B Platform for Education and Talent, the FWO and F.R.S.-FNRS grant the Gustave Boël – Sofina Fellowships every year to talented PhD students having an outstanding academic record, for a research stay in a host institution abroad.

The SPECULOOS project, led by the University of Liège, has revealed the existence of an Earth-sized planet around SPECULOOS-3, a nearby star similar in size to Jupiter and twice as cold as our Sun.
Co-discovered by researchers from the University of Liège, this exoplanet is larger but seven times less massive than Jupiter and is the second least dense planet discovered to date.
