Jef Focant, selected on the 2023 power list

Prof Jef Focant, full professor and founder of the Organic and Biological Analytical Chemistry Group (OBiAChem) in the Molecular System research unit has been selected for the 2023 Power list by the journal The Analytical Scientist. 

Prof. Jef Focant is highlight as a power lister as "connector and interdisciplinarian". This recognition acknowledge his effort as a pioneer in multidimensional methods, such as GCxGC, pushing the analytical field to its limits. He started his career with POPs analysis, next he extended his scope including forensic research. He is now pushing the boundaries of small molecules metabolomics. In parallel, Jef Focant has always maintained a strong connection with the industry.
